Recreational Vehicles (RVs) provide accommodation for recreational, camping, travel or seasonal use. They are generally towed by or mounted on to another vehicle.The variety of RVs is growing and includes, but is not limited to, caravans, motorhomes, fifth wheelers, camper trailers and slide-on campers. CARAVANS Towed by a vehicle, a caravan provides accommodation. Caravans can vary in length from 3–12.5 metres and can be up to 2.5 metres wide. Variations include the pop top caravan, which features a vinyl insert that connects the roof to the sides of the caravan. This is designed to reduce wind resistance when towed.    MOTORHOMES A self-powered, self-contained unit driven from the cabin that allows easy access to the rest of the vehicle. FIFTH WHEELERS A fifth wheeler has all the features of a caravan and is towed by a utility or truck.     CAMPERVAN A motorised van equipped with sleeping, refrigeration, washing, cooking and dining facilities which is designed for recreational travel. This is smaller than a motor home.     TENT TRAILERS/CAMPER TRAILERS Tent trailers are a cross between a caravan and a luxury tent. They are compact and popular for off-road use. Camper Trailers are a low profile caravan with a wind-up roof and usually have push-out bed sections at either end of the trailer. Both trailers have a light mass and low wind resistance, making them easy to tow and suitable for smaller tow vehicles.   SLIDE-ON/GLIDE-ON CAMPERS Slide-on Campers have a caravan body which slides on and is secured to the bed of a utility.     PARK CABIN Park cabins are an ideal way to see our great country while experiencing all the wonderful lifestyle aspects of a holiday park.
